Apollo Beach Annual Lighted Boat Parade
Co-Sponsored: Tampa Sailing Squadron and South Shore Chamber of Commerce
Date: Saturday, December 10, 2016
Time: Approximately 6:00PM, or sunset.
Parade route: Parade starts in the harbor at the main channel by the entrance to Andalucía. See map below for full parade route.
How many boats? Last year there were 46 boats.
ENTER YOUR BOAT
To enter your boat: Please complete this online form. *Note: A $10 per boat entry fee includes a participation gift, chili cook off and after party.
- Three Boat Categories: Sail boats, power boats under 30’ and power boats over 30’. Please no tow behinds.
- Required Captain’s Meeting: Saturday, December 10 at 9AM. Tampa Sailing Squadron clubhouse. Captains will receive general instructions, boat number for judging, and participation gift.
- Judging: Anonymous judges will be scattered around parade route.
PRE AND POST PARADE FESTIVITIES AT TAMPA SAILING SQUADRON
Public Viewing: Tampa Sailing Squadron (the only public venue to view parade). 1250 Apollo Beach Blvd.
Chili cook-off: Details to follow.
Chorus: The Apollo Beach Elementary School Chorus will perform before the parade.
Food: There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, and soft drinks for sale. All proceeds to benefit the Tampa Sailing Squadron Youth Sailing Program.
